Individual case Study

..KiDULTHOOD..

[ Before AdULTHOOD Comes KiDULTHOOD ]

About The Movie..
"Its just another day for the West London teenagers Trife, Jay and Moony. Theres beatings in the classrooms, Suicides, Sex and drugs in the schoolyard. But things flip sharply for the tight trio and their crowd, school gets cancelled following the tragic suicide of Katie, the teenagers are all forced to face their own Responsibilities and Blame."

A harrowing, shocking story that finds humour in its narrative and set to a blistering UK Hip Hop and Grime soundtrack KiDULTHOOD is a new kind of British Film.
Based On Real Kids, Real Stories. This Is Real Life..!

Film Trailers tend to create an enigma towards the audience, this builds up a suspence leaving the viewer wanting to watch the rest of the movie. This is the same with "KiDULTHOOD" watching the trailer makes you want to watch the movie, In this trailer they show different but quick clips of the movie they have given you what happends throughout the whole movie but have also left you with suspence not showing main parts but showing clips which attract the audience. They have used fast clips which are zoomed in on the main characters of the film, they give you an inside on what is going to be shown in the rest of it they show the drugs, sex and crime. This trailer can also affect the way the audience is thinking they show how teenagers can quickly be infulenced by others around them, it shows how following the crowd can lead you to the wrong path in life.

Media Awards 2008

..A Rapper`s Ambition..
This production is one of my favourites i enjoyed this one mainly because of the shots that have been used in the production such as when Avi`s Uncle throws the glass bottle onto the floor this is using the reversing bottle shot, another part i enjoyed was when Avi`s Uncle was writing his lyrics in fast motion but it stopped at stages which made it effective and also the music went well with the theme. I also like that "A Rapper`s Ambition" is based on real life situations which i think attracts more attention.

..Face of Fear..
This is another one of my favourite production the thing that i find is best about this production is the editing and the way the camera shots have been shown, i think that the setting attracted its audience mainly because the genre of the film is Horror and it is set in the dark and the actions that have been made it makes it intresting. The make-up that was used on the actors of the production made it more realistic. Another thing i liked with this one was that it had a different touch to the others which made it stand out more to me this is why it became one of my favourites.

..Crime..
Lastly this is another one of my favourite productions shown i chose this one because its also based on real life situations which attracts the audience. Another intreseting point is how its not acting that is being played in the production but they have shown a real life drug dealer with real life sitautions that can occur by taking drugs and the way they use Inderz in the production and how he speaks about the way his life has changed from having a family and now having nothing to support him accept from herion, i personally think that this can educate and inform people.

Magazine Pitch

Lads Mag Proposal.

..[ Spank ]..
Readers Profile -
The magazine that i as a publisher has decided to come up with is *Spank*, to some this magazine may sound unusual or it may sound like a top shelf magazine known as a porn magazine. But Spank is the complete opposite of that, i have chosen to do this one mainly because i think there will be a variety of audience that will be intrested in the mag. The readers of the magazine wil be aged from 21 and over, it will be a fun and different magazine still with the excitment of every lad whos reading it this magazine wont be based only on cars and football but as a publisher i have decided to add a bit of spice into the magazine i have chosen to add fashion as a main content, i think that celeb gossip is not only for women but for the lads aswell mainly because everyone has an interest in them. The readers of this magazine will be intrested in various activities these will mainly include socializing, going out, drinkning on occasions, listening to music and so on. I personally think that they will enjoy reading this because it will be different to all the other magazines that are out there based upon males. There will be competitions for them to sign up for, free posters will be included in the mag aswell.
Target Advertisers -
  • Calvin Klein
  • Armani code
  • 212
  • Cool Water
  • Joop Jump
  • Hugo Boss
  • Armani Jeans
  • Addidas
  • Nike
  • Ted Baker
  • Porshe
  • Ford
  • (Latest Cd`s)
  • HMV
  • Game (Shop)
  • Topman
  • River Island
  • FHM- Sexiest Women
  • Carphone Warehouse

^ Above are some of the advertisments that are going to be in the magazine ^

Competition -
The competition for the magazine that i have chosen to do is if they can name a product that Calvin klien has produced. If they do win this they will be given the chance to have a Porshe hired for one day, as you can see i haved put two advertisers into the magazine. Therefore i think more readers will want to compete in the competition that i have come up with.

Pitch -
Marketing director.. for the competition of my magazine i have decided to attract veiwers of the magazine with not only one but TWO advertisers these will include Calvin Klien and Porshe i think by doing this more people will be attracted i have looked at various ways to make the competition as eye catching as possiable and i think the final decision that i have over come is a great one mainly because people will want to enter this because of what it is giving away. I no you may think there may be a disadvantage in this knowing that not all consumers of the product can drive. I personally think there is no need to go on that direction mainly because even if they can not drive they will have a driver for them, i think because some of the consumers can not drink i dont think this will change there minds. I will be aimed at consumers from the age of 21 and over, this will therefore mean that the products that Calvin Klien sell will be purchased more as i am advertising it in my magazine, the main reason i chose to use Porshe was because it is known to be every boys to LADS dream to sit in a Porshe and enjoy a ride of a life time..!!

Internet Regulations

There can be many problems that occur surrounding the internet. A few main issues that are to do with the interent are illegal downloading by this i mean downloading things that shouldnt be aloud access to. People have started to download images, Videos, Music, Films, Programmes and so on. This will cause problems as the site will have to deal with the complaints that are being made towards the things they are doing.
Another issue is being able to edit information from websites, an example of this is Wikipedia being able to edit information can cause problems. People will start to beleive the information that they are reading and the worse thing is, is that it is more like to be statements that are not true.
This will cause alot of controversy which will mean they will have to deal with the complains being made about the situation.

I personally think that a new system should be introduced. This will mean everything that is being accessed to would be monitored so people cannot edit information and put things that should not be shown to others this is because young children may be using the site. Another point is they wont be able to download illegal things from the internet. This should link back to the sites that most people use such as Facebook, Bebo and myspace they should also be monitored.

I think that there should be internet regulations so that people feel safe using the interent in there own homes and they feel confident to go on the internet without worring about what others may be doing to the sites that they would like to access from there homes and etc.

They should start to keep everything in order and making sure that people can give there problems to them so that they can sort them out for the people using the internet.
